Ultimately you get what you pay for.
The cheaper the oil, the more frequently you change it.
If there are additives which are better for motorcycle engines, then you may pay for them and if it helps you sleep better at night, that is what you pay for (a feeling of confidence that you are caring for you bike and it will not leave you stranded on the side of the road).
I have done experiments in the past on some oil used in hydraulic system in oil exploration tools. Most of the time, not always, but most of the time more expensive products were better in surviving the 200 deg. C test environments we cared about. There were always arguments about incremental cost, but the selection was always made somewhere in the middle of the cost range.
The only thing that can be guarrantted about the oil that we use is that it all passes a API standard. Passing the standard does not tell the whole story about how good it is.
This is just my opinion, don't loose sleep over it. I won't.
